After Cindy got out of the hospital we went to stay at a State Park in Dana Point, near San Clemente.  It was absolutely gorgeous there and we really enjoyed out stay.  Cindy laid pretty low as she was quite sore, she read and relaxed and watched Barry.  Barry worked on cleaning the outside of the coach, he did some swimming and boogie boarding in the waves...etc.

The doctor said that he wanted to see Cindy on the Tuesday after she got out of the hospital and he also said that she could ride her scooter, quite surprising because she just got out of the hospital.  Barry had to take it off and on the stand for her.  But once she got going, she did pretty well.  Going over bumps was very painful so we took it really slow.  Eventually it just got better and better and we were able to go for walks and scooter rides all over the place.

Cindy had to go to the Doctor numerous times over the two week period, so that they could check her blood to be sure it was staying thin.  So, we could not continue our travels, and Cindy was in enough pain that we probably would not have got very far anyway.

We took our scooters and drove to San Juan Capistrano to see the mission there.  The trip was fun, it was exhilarating to be out in the sunshine and ocean breezes on the scooters after laying low for so long.  The town of San Juan Capistrano was charming and we walked all around, including an older section near the train station and tracks.  The mission itself was wonderful, one of our favorite missions.  We really enjoyed ourselves and had a long fun day.

As you can see we have changed the format of our Travel Log.  We just got too far behind.  Once we are caught up AND once we are travelling each day again, we may go back to a daily log.  However, for now this seems to make the most sense.  Hope you enjoy the photos.

Note:  We ARE from Canada, however, we have a lot of American friends and some American family.  We are struggling with something for the first time in our lives.  Spelling!!  For example:

Travelling vs. Traveling
Neighbour vs. Neighbor
Colour vs. Color
etc.  we go back and forth  :)
