(see below map for details)

Since we have not travelled at all in this last 30 days we have decided to include a map of Bahia Coyote, one of the bays in Bahia Concepcion, which shows a more detailed view of the area around Playa Santispac.  We've travelled all over the bay in our little boat, more on that later.

We are still at Playa Santispac, south of Mulege.  We may have mentioned before that we met a lady at the laundromat in Chula Vista, CA.  Here name was Naida, she was a real sweetheart and we talked with her about our travels.  As it turns out, she knew the beach we were heading to very well.  She told us to look up Lee and Jack, a couple of gentlemen that she was friends with.  Lee and Jack spend the majority of the year at Playa Santispac.

So when we got to Santispac we looked them up.  Lee introduced us to a really nice couple by the names of Debbi and Jim.  Deb and Jim have a palapa here and they have also leased out the lot beside them, so that they could have some say as to who there neighbors were.  Well, it turns out that we get along great with them and they have offered us the spot beside them at a reduced rate...very cool.  The regular rate is $7.00 per day.  This spot also has a very small, cute, open palapa that blocks the wind, provides some shade, and a place for Barry to work outside in.  We moved to this new spot on November 1st and have been there ever since.  It is a great spot, and we are so thankful to Deb and Jim.

This is our new spot, it is just great, isn't our little palapa cute?  We have made a new little friend, his name is Alexander.  He comes to get a freezie and have a visit on a daily basis.  His family is staying for about a month.  He is so adorable and we really enjoy his visits.

Alexander reminds me a bit of my younger brother when he was a child.  He has this sprinkle of freckles across his nose and cheeks.  He is just adorable.  Tiki likes the look of Alex's freezie :)

The water is so clear... that when we go out in our little boat and just look out over the side we see all kinds of fish, star fish, sting rays, turtles, coral, etc.  It is just beautiful and we do this for hours at a time.  We also go fishing for Sierra, Trigger, Cabrilla and many other types of fish.  As you can see in the pictures there are all kinds of islands and coves and it is pretty sheltered here, so we have a great time tooling around in our little boat.

At some point we heard that some children brought this swing set out into the water and it has been there for years.  It is a great spot for the Pelicans and Sea Gulls to sit in the sun.  These guys are so tame we could take our boat within feet of them.  We are so close we can see their eyes following us as we move along beside them.  We can see them daily from our spot on the beach.

I guess you can tell we love going out in the boat.  And look at the colour of that water.  And look at that handsome man :)  Does he look happy and relaxed or what?

You have seen lots of sunsets on our travels, but not many sunrises.  That is due to traveling the west coast.  Here is a sunrise from the beach where we are staying.  This one's for you Janelle!!  Janelle is a friend of ours in Victoria, she is writing a book and asked us to take some sunrise pictures and send them to her.  Sorry it has taken so long Janelle :)

What a great place to work on the computer.  Look at that view.  We are only about 15 ft from the high tide line!!

I am not sure what we get more compliments on...pictures of the ocean or pictures of our sweet Tiki.  Isn't he just the cutest.  He LOVES it down here, and loves having us around all day.  He goes out in the boat with us and just loves it.  He swims in the ocean almost every day.  He is such a little cutie...

We climbed a small mountain, and took this picture of the bay where we are staying.  The beach that we are staying at is on the right side of this picture.  Gorgeous view isn't it...you can probably understand why we are still here and have decided to stay for awhile.
