Part 4

We have almost competed our tour of Palenque and then we'll head to Belize... Enjoy!

Palenque Archeological Site, Chiapas, Mexico

Rather than exit the site from the same point where we came in, we decided to leave via the alternate exit down this path, and found these structures that the jungle was trying to take over again...

We're certainly glad we continued along... isn't this stream and small water fall gorgeous?  Look at that colour!

In the thick jungle, these falls and pools were very dream-like...

It's time to 'hit the road' again...  We're heading through and out of the town of Palenque.

Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico

We just love these kinds of taxi's!!  Aren't they wonderful?

Calderitas, Quintana Roo,  Mexico

Ok, we've made it to Calderitas, just north of Chetumal, Mexico.  Chetumal is just north of Corozal Town, Belize.  This is our last night in Mexico for at least a year.  We decide to boondock along the malecon beside the sea.

Gorgeous calm day.  Oh, it is so good to be back by the sea again!  This is the east coast of the Caribbean, on a bay called Chetumal Bay!

A mother and her three beautiful daughters join us on the end of the pier to say hello and enjoy the view...

Isn't she just gorgeous!  She was playing with this palm frond and I am sure she had no idea what a lovely picture she made...

Corozal Town, Belize

AND here we are in Belize!  We are staying for a month at a RV Park by the name of Caribbean Village.  We have a nice view of the sea which is just across the highway from us.  There is a nice breeze, it is HOT, and we have this huge park to ourselves.  The owners and a couple of their children live in their home on the premises.  And, in a small rental cottage, there is a very nice lady from the US, she is a Peace Corp. volunteer here in Corozal Town.

Oh, it is so good to be here in Belize!  We so look forward to looking around our new home and finding a permanent spot to stay for the year.

Well, that does it for Mexico.  We LOVE Mexico, and we'll miss it so much.  However, we are so looking forward to getting to know the Belizean's and their wonderful little country.  We'll see you in Belize in our upcoming updates!
