In this segment, we will continue our tour of Lamanai and head back up that gorgeous river towards Orange Walk.  After a wonderful day, we'll head back to Corozal on the 'chicken bus'.

Lamanai, Belize

We are way up above the jungle looking down the stairs we just climbed.

What a view!

Lamanai, Belize

What a vantage point.  From here, we could see and hear a big group of Howler Monkeys down in the trees behind us.

Lamanai, Belize

It was very steep going down, but no problem, we have had lots of practice :)

Lamanai, Belize

Standing in the 'Ball Court' listening to our guide tell us about the history of the site. We're told that this is one of the smallest ball courts in the Maya world...

Lamanai, Belize

This 'Stela' is in really good shape and you can see the carvings quite clearly.

So peaceful and beautiful...

Our guide was great with handling the boat, twisting and turning, in and out of channels, and never losing his way.

Orange Walk, Belize

Back at the highway bridge and Reyes & Sons after a great day!

Northern Highway, Belize

Heading back to Corozal on the chicken bus.  The bus drivers in Belize drive very fast.  The buses are old Bluebird school type busses, their springs are shot from flying over all of the speed bumps and potholes.  But it is all about the experience, and we had a great time!
